I took a bit of time out to walk down the lane/drive to check the mail and took my camera and macro lens with because I noticed some of the trees were starting to bud and there was some lovely green lichen/moss on some of the tree trunks. I also took a few macros of the cones from the Douglas Fir Tree in our garden that were laying on the ground. One 1st I shot at f2.8 2000th 100 asa and the other f6.7 750th 200 asa. Pity I didn't notice the gravel on the first shot before I did it. I didnt get time to edit the lichen ones and I will try to reshoot the others tomorrow, but here are my efforts today.
These are some of the little buds on one of the trees lining our driveway. I am going to use a bit of fill flash tomorrow with this and see if that improves it or not.
Well that's about it guys and gals. Hope you are all having a great weekend. We have to turn our clocks forward an hour tonight, so it may take a bit of getting used to the difference in time.
Keep smiling.
Lori

Nice macro work! The bottom one looks like tiny Christmas ornaments to me.
I thought the gravel on the cone was interesting. Looking at your photos makes me want to work on getting better with mine.
Just waiting for those buds to open! All my trees look like that. I got back from vacation and all my daffodils are up. It was a nice surprise to come home to.
Great macro shots Lori! I so love the textures and colours in the 2nd one particularly. I'm so glad that the weather is starting to feel more springlike for you now :)
Stock photos -- there's an idea I've been toying with for a long time, but don't have the confidence to undertake, nor do I know where to begin..... guess I'll have to do some reading up!
{{{HUGS}}} Have missed you while I've been away - glad to be home!
