Wednesday 18 February 2009

Another quickie today, it has been overcast and raining lightly on and off all day. Everything is damp and we are still hovering around the freezing mark. I took this picture a few weeks ago from my kitchen window after we had about 6-8 inches the one night.

We had temps go as low as -18F and as a result had these long icicles hanging from the roof of the house. At sunset the one evening these ones were picking up the red/orange of the sunset and I tried to get behind them so that the color would be reflected nicely but there wasn't much room. I thought they were pretty anyway.
Thanks again to everyone for their well wishes and concern, I will address all of your questions soon (I hope). I am feeling a bit better today but the dreary day didn't help.

What wonderful icicles!

Wow. Looks like you stepped on the horse's toe or something. And got whacked in the side of your head. It still looks like it must have knocked you senseless. I read back a few posts but didn't read what happened. I like your dog photo. He looks a lot like a wolf in his winter coat. The cat is neat too. I used to hate cats because they kill so many birds. But my one daughter moved back home and brought a black panther with her who promptly bit me on day one. Since then we have made up and I only pull his tail when I want him to move. LOL

Hello Lori. I love those icicles, they look as if they are made from orange juice and you can eat them. LOL!! I am sure you are wishing for spring and as you know winter is on its way here for me. At least I dont have icicles hanging from my roof being on the north side of Pretoria. :)
