Here is a picture of the four mares in their pasture in the rain yesterday. They are so happy.

The brat is drinking more and more water and here he is taking a drink. I hope to spend some time taking pictures of him tomorrow.

Abraham this one is for you. Every year in our old barn we get barn swallows nesting in the eaves, last year we had three pairs and this year we have four. Their nests all fell down this last winter and they have rebuilt all but one so far which I have pictured above this morning. It is fascinating how they build their nests out of mud and sticks, horsehair and whatever they can find. I will keep taking pictures until it is built. Unfortunately until the babies get big enough to put their heads over the sides I wont be able to get shots of inside the nest because they are too close to the roof. Last year I got some cute shots of them peering over the edge. Within days they were gone out of the nest. Will post them tomorrow.

It has been a relaxing day, I decided I would take it easy and get prepared for the new week. Hope you all had a great weekend. (((Hugs))) for everyone who needs one.

Great pictures. Taxes is growing like a weed. It's amazing how fast they grow.

Sounds like you are more relaxed that's good!

The weather was cold and windy here today but is supposed to begin warming. I sure hope so.

Enjoy the holiday.

Yes, this is a nice photo of the barn swallow's nest. I assume you went to my 720 pixels blog and saw the barn swallow there. I also have a nice nest picture. I hope your birds get their nest built.

I love these photos of the horses in the rain. I really enjoyed my visit to your blog today. I always do.

I have some good news:

The three baby robins are on their way to Meet the World. I miss them already. It was quite an emotional experience.

Hope you don't mind me coming back. I appreciate your response on the lens. I need a longer lens than I have (Canon 75-300mm f5.6 - cheap lens but I used it a lot). I need one with lens stabilization but can't afford that. I mean I could but it seems high to me.

I can't seem to hold anything still anymore (I will be 73) and I use tripods or monopods and still get soft pictures. The depth of field is so short on some of my shots that one eye can be in focus and the other out.

Oh well. Thanks again.
DId you ever go to my other blog?

I ask because I always see you on the 720 pixels blog.
