1 April 2007

Well am heartily sick of the goings on at DP Challenge, enough is enough already!!
Had a nice sunny warm day but very windy. The horses were out and I have left them out tonight. I am planning on starting to separate the yearlings out a few at a time as I have a few stalls that are vacant since the two horses went to the trainer (he cancelled his visit for last Wednesday as it was raining and should be here on Tuesday) and we are still waiting for Gee's trainer to come and fetch her. She is busy moving all of her race horses that she trains up from Florida so I will expect her when I see her.
I took a few muddy horses shots and thought I have far too many already so focused on the blossoms and budding plants. I have posted one horse shot of Cat that I desaturated and left the blue sky in but reduced the opacity on it to about 50%. I am not too sure if I like it or not.
The first flower shot is the one tree along our drive that I have been shooting from the time the buds started forming. The other one is the lilac bush which has grown leaves and is already budding for the flowers which has only taken a matter of days. It rained again last night but with the warmer weather it is drying up quicker than it did before. I already need to mow the grass in the garden!!
Oh well that is all that has been happening around here. I hope everyone had a great weekend and I caught all my comments up last night Woohoo. See y'all tomorrow.

Hi Lori,

Sounds like the weather up there is improving some. I have enjoyed your postings of the last few day. Your forsythia shots are beatiful and I can't wait to see your lilac in bloom.

The picture of Cat is nice. I wonder how he would react to a reflector to light him up a bit around his eyes. Probably would spook him.

Thanks for the many helpful comments you have given on my blog. I appreciate them all. I am still fairly new at all this so any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

Take care and have a good week.

Mike

I love the horse pic that's a great facial expression there. You sure have more budding than I do here. It's darn cold.

Might even snow tonight.

Been gone to a clinic all weekend. Am frozen from sitting around in an arena all day.

Hope you have a great day tomorrow.

Hello Lori,

My first time here. I was at Mike's and saw your name and came over. I was returning his visit to my blog.

First, I love horses. Next to dogs I think they are a gift from God to mankind - to maintain our sanity. So right away you have a follower.

I was a real cowboy in 1952. So I am old. I have been and done everything in my life and it has been a rich one and I have been taking pictures with Canon cameras since 1953. Most are housed in Museums.

I will be back. You take some nice pictures.
