4 April 2007

Well what a difference a day makes. We had a maximum of 78F yesterday, and today had a max of 40F with winds up to 30mph giving us windchills in the teens!!!! The next four days are going to go well below freezing again with maximums just above freezing. We have had snow flurries all day too. Sheesh no wonder people get sick.

I used the day to finish the stables and get them stocked up with sawdust so that at least they will be warm as the horses have started losing their winter woolies. Still no baby, she is really making us wait.

The beautiful yellow flowers (forsythia?) that I took photos of the other day are all burned by the cold and frost and shrivelling up!!!!
The pictures today are a little different. They are processed in photoshop with a procedure called "Porcelain" I have done people, dog and horse portraits using this technique and they really look great when you have the right shot for them.
I am going to go get my beauty sleep, trying to gear up for our trip to the hospital on Friday, I will get caught up over the weekend if I dont manage to before. Keep well everyone and keep warm.
(((Hugs))))

Those changes in weather are really awful; I'm sad the poor forsythia has been damaged. That "Porcelain" technique is very effective. Will be thinking of you tomorrow and hoping all goes well for you and your husband.
Love and hugs xxxx

I really like the "porcelain" technique. Makes a nice presentation.

We have had the same weather change, I had to cover up some stuff last night due to a freeze warning.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you go to the hospital. I trust everything will go well.

The "Porclain" technique is very beautiful! I hope that your trip to the hospital goes well.
We have had snow flurries here in NY State today. And it was only about 30 degrees F. Brr! It feels more like Thanksgiving here!

Hope your trip goes ok and the mare waits for your return.

I should have recognized the yellow flowers. I wondered if they were forsythia but talked myself out of it for some reason.
